AdoptUSKids - AdoptUSKids.org is a national photo listing service for children awaiting adoption across the United States.
Adopt America Network (formerly Adopt a Special Kid (AASK)) - Adopt America Network has made it their mission to find permanent, loving, adoptive homes for the children who wait. To date, Adopt America Network has matched over 1,800 special needs children with adoptive families. Their mission is to assist with the connection of children who wait, with parents who care. Their goal is that no child shall have to wait for adoption, regardless of his/her circumstances.

The Adoption Exchange - The Adoption Exchange provides a connection between families who adopt and children who wait.
The Adoption Exchange Association (AEA) - The AEA connects representatives of state, regional, & national adoption exchanges... placement agencies... parents... child welfare professionals... and concerned citizens across the United States. The AEA provides a forum which promotes the exchange of ideas and strategies, collaboration on issues of mutual interest, and increased effectiveness in utilizing resources to provide waiting children permanent homes.

American Adoption Congress (AAC) - The American Adoption Congress is composed of individuals, families and organizations committed to adoption reform. "We represent all those whose lives are touched by adoption. Through education and advocacy, we promote honesty, openness and respect for family connections in adoption, foster care and assisted reproduction."
Bastard Nation (BN) - Bastard Nation advocates for the civil and human rights of adult citizens who were adopted as children.
Child Welfare Information Gateway - Formerly the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information and the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse, Child Welfare Information Gateway provides access to information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families. A service of the Children's Bureau, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Children Awaiting Parents (CAP)
- Children Awaiting Parents (CAP) is dedicated to finding adoptive
families for America's waiting children. Formed in 1969, CAP publishes
The CAP Book, the national photo listing of children with special needs,
conducts parent recruitment and provides adoption information and referrals
for families seeking to adopt waiting children.
Children with AIDS
Project - An organization whose role is to develop a fuller understanding
of children with, and at risk of, AIDS, including the medical, psychological,
legal and financial issues. Their mission is to develop local and
national adoptive, foster and family centered programs that are both
effective and compassionate.
DePaul Family Services - This Virginia based foster care/adoption organization has produced a booklet for helping either potential adoptive parents of children available for adoption gather information about the child's history. A PDF version of the workbook is available here.

Jewish Adoption Information Exchange - Stars of David International, Inc. is a nonprofit information and support network for Jewish and interfaith adoptive families of all sizes, ages, and origins. Stars of David serves every stream of Judaism through its local chapter activities, international mailings, and the Internet. It provides help for all members of the triad including Jewish birth parents, adoptees, adoptive parents, prospective parents, single parents, grandparents, interfaith couples, transracial and transcultural families, and those with children by birth and adoption.
National Adoption Center (NAC) - The National Adoption Center expands opportunities for children throughout the United States, particularly for children with special needs and those from minority cultures.
Northwest Adoption Exchange (NWAE) - The Northwest Adoption Exchange facilities adoptive placements for waiting children in Alaska, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington State.
North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) - The North American Council on Adoptable Children is committed to meeting the needs of waiting childrn and families who adopt them.

The Southeastern Exchange of the U.S. (SEEUS) - The SouthEastern Exchange of the United States (SEEUS) believes that all children benefit from the security of belonging to a permanent family, and that children with serious mental, physical, and/or emotional limitations especially need parental nurture. Recognizing the needs of the region, SEEUS is particularly dedicated to increasing opportunities for waiting Black children to achieve permanence.

Michigan Association for Foster, Adoptive and Kinship Parents (MAFAK) - MAFAK works to support Michigan parents through training, support groups, advocacy and legislation in order to retain and empower families to successfully parent all children that are placed in their care.
