The Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange Helping to Bring Children and Families Together "Let us put our minds together and see what kind of future we can make for our children." -- Chief Sitting Bull What is MARE? The Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange is an information
and referral service for prospective adoptive parents interested in
adopting children with "special needs," and
for adoption workers looking for homes for these children. MARE is not a placement service -- it does not provide care for waiting children and does not do family homestudies. Instead, MARE refers prospective parents to agencies and answers questions they might have about adoption and children with "special needs." MARE also provides technical assistance to adoption workers and agencies. Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday,
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (517) 783-6273 (outside Michigan) Email the webmaster with questions, concerns or suggestions. |
