Big Family of Michigan Education Scholarship

Each year, Big Family of Michigan gives away $1,000 to Foster Alumni who were in care for at least one full year. Applications are posted on the website each year. Check out Big Family and learn more by clicking here

The Foster Youth Internship Program of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute 

The Foster Youth Internship Program provides Congressional Internships to youth who have been or are currently in foster care. CCAI places interns in Congressional offices in Washington DC for a nine-week internship. Housing, travel, and a weekly stipend are provided by CCAI. For more information click here. Center for Fostering Success - Seita Scholars Program

The Center for Fostering Success at Western Michigan University offers scholarships to youth aged 18-25 who have been in foster care. Scholarships cover costs of tuition for undergraduate courses. Students in the program are offered support through their time at the University and opportunities to become peer leaders. For more information and to apply click here.

Foster Youth Alumni Services at Michigan State University

A comprehensive initiative that offers assistance to MSU students, including specialized services accessible via the Foster Youth Alumni Services, community mentoring, scholarships, care packages, and help lining up everything from student employment to housing to financial aid. The university also created a YouTube video about this experience.

Foster Care to Success

FC2S partners with several organizations, foundations, and individuals to provide scholarships to foster youth across the country. Several scholarships of varying amounts offered. Visit their website to learn about the various scholarships available and to apply. 

First Chance Scholarship Program at University of Phoenix

In partnership with the National Foster Parent Association, the University of Phoenix has offered 50 full-ride scholarships for foster youth, foster care alumni, and foster parents. The scholarship is redeemable at any University of Phoenix campus, including the online program. The progam offered is competitive - to view the guidelines, visit the webpage here.
