Waiting to be matched with a child can bring a mix of emotions—excitement, uncertainty, and sometimes frustration. You’re not alone in feeling that way. Our Adoption Navigators have been through the adoption process and host Waiting Family Forums to help.
What are Waiting Family Forums?
These quarterly events bring together pre-adoptive parents who are all waiting to be matched. They’re part training, part guidance, and part support group. Each forum offers encouragement and connection to help you navigate this stage of your adoption journey with confidence and hope.
At the forum, you can ask questions, discuss challenges, and share your experiences with our Adoption Navigators and other pre-adoptive parents who truly understand the ups and downs of this stage.
Forums are held in person, often after Meet & Greets, or virtually.
Benefits of attending
Pre-adoptive parents consistently rate our Waiting Family Forums as beneficial events that they are happy they attended. They’re also one of the few events you can attend before your homestudy is approved.

Who can attend?
Whether you’re just starting your homestudy or already approved to adopt, you’re welcome to join these events. Registration is required.
