Kaitlyn is a vibrant, motivated teen with an unstoppable spirit and a heart for connection. She thrives on staying active, whether she’s dancing with her school’s team, leading her peers in an anti-drug group, or spending time with friends at her church youth group. Always on the move, she loves being outside, whether celebrating the Fourth of July with fireworks or simply enjoying time with loved ones. A natural leader, Kaitlyn takes initiative in everything she does. Whether she’s helping around the house with dishes and laundry, stepping up as a leader in school, or working hard to reach her goals, she approaches life with determination and a positive attitude. She is smart, funny, and deeply understanding, making her a great friend and role model to those around her. Kaitlyn’s favorite things reflect her bright and bold personality. She loves the colors teal and pink, enjoys laughing with friends, and never says no to tacos or a good plate of Mexican food. Her weekends are best spent with family, watching movies, playing games, or exploring the outdoors. She dreams of one day visiting New York City to see the famous “Eiffel Tower,” otherwise known as “The Vessel” in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. She hopes to work with young children when she grows up.

“Kaityn is smart, outgoing, patient, understanding, likes to be a leader, kind, cautious, anxious, funny, motivated, and tough,” says an adult close to her. “Kaitlyn is wise, smart, friendly and a funny person. Kaitlyn will be successful in life.”

At this time, Kaitlyn is unsure about her adoption plan. She will need a family that is patient and understanding about her hesitation. Kaitlyn would do best in a home with a mom and dad who are experienced, and trauma informed. She would thrive as the only or oldest child in the home. Kaitlyn’s faith and religion are very important to her, and she would need a family that supports her belief or shares that with her. She also would prefer a home with pets, but no cats if possible. A forever family that enjoys spending time together, embraces an active lifestyle, and understands the importance of patience, flexibility, and trauma-informed care would be best. With the right support, Kaitlyn is sure to continue thriving, using her strength, humor, and leadership skills to build a bright and successful future.
